Terms and Conditions

These terms cover this website, private portfolio links I send out, and MGT Journal, the work planning app at jammy.pradipdobariya.com. They are between you and Pradip Dobariya, an independent software consultant based in Rajkot, India. By using any of them you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use them.

Paid work is separate

If you hire me, that engagement is governed by the proposal, contract or statement of work we both signed, including anything it says about fees, deliverables, ownership and confidentiality. These terms do not replace or change it, and where the two disagree, the signed agreement wins.

Using this website

The site is here to read. Please do not try to break into it, overload it, scrape it at a scale that disrupts it, or use it to do anything unlawful. I may block access if that happens.

The writing, design and case studies on this site are mine, unless credited otherwise. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back. Republishing a whole piece needs my permission first. Client names, logos and product screenshots remain the property of those clients.

Private portfolio links

Private links are sent to one named person so they can review confidential work. If you have received one:

• the work behind it is confidential and is shared with you for evaluation only;
• please do not forward the link, or share screenshots or exports of what is behind it;
• the link expires, and I can withdraw it at any time;
• if we have signed a non disclosure agreement, that agreement also applies to everything you see there.

MGT Journal

An account is for you or your team and you are responsible for what happens under it, including keeping your password safe. Tell me straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.

You keep ownership of the content you put into the app. You give me permission to store and process it only so far as running the service needs. Please do not use the app to store unlawful content, or to break any law that applies to you.

I may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to harm other users, or to attack the service. You can close your account whenever you like by emailing me.

Connecting Google Calendar

Connecting your Google Calendar to MGT Journal is optional. When you connect it, you authorise the app to create a calendar of its own inside your Google account and to create, update and delete entries in that calendar based on the work you plan in the app. The sync runs one way, from the app to Google.

You can disconnect in the app at any time, or revoke access from your Google Account permissions page. Entries already created stay in your calendar unless you delete them or ask me to. What the app stores and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Google Calendar is Google's service, not mine. Its availability, and any change Google makes to it, is outside my control.

Availability

I run these services carefully but I offer them as they are, without a guaranteed uptime unless we have agreed one in writing. There will be times when things are down for maintenance or because something broke. I do not promise the services will be free of faults, and I may change or retire a feature. If a change removes something you depend on, I will give you reasonable notice where I can.

Backups

I take reasonable backups, but please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost business or any indirect loss arising from your use of this website, a private link or the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid me for the service in question in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law does not permit to be limited.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to sites I do not run, such as LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube or Vimeo. I am not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Rajkot, Gujarat have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in another country, this does not take away the rights your local law gives you.

Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
